This Return Policy sets out in detail the terms and conditions under which Zyrallexchrel ("we", "us", "our") accepts returns and offers refunds or exchanges for garden lighting and drip watering products purchased from us in New Zealand. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by this policy. This policy operates in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, and does not limit or replace those statutory rights where applicable.

We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe, typically within one to two business days. We will provide instructions on how to return the item, including any return authorisation number, shipping address, and packing requirements. Do not send products back without contacting us first, as we need to confirm eligibility and provide return details. Returns sent without prior authorisation may be refused or delayed.

Return Process

Once you have received return authorisation from us, please pack the product securely in its original packaging (or equivalent) to prevent damage during transit. Include a copy of your order confirmation or a note with your order number and return authorisation number. Send the package to the address we provide. We recommend using a trackable shipping method. For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping. For returns due to our error or faulty products, we will provide a prepaid return label or arrange collection where appropriate. Once we receive the returned product, we will inspect it and notify you of the outcome. If the return is approved, we will process your refund or replacement as described below.

Refunds and Processing

Once we receive the returned product and have verified that it meets the return conditions, we will process your refund or replacement as appropriate. Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless we agree otherwise. For example, if you paid by credit card, the refund will be credited to the same card. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the refund to be processed and reflected in your account; processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider. If we offer a replacement (for example, for a defective pathway light or drip timer), we will dispatch the replacement as soon as practicable, typically within 3 to 5 business days of approving the return. We will notify you when the replacement has been dispatched. We will not refund or replace items that have been damaged by misuse, incorrect installation, exposure to conditions outside the product specifications, or normal wear and tear beyond what is reasonably expected for garden lighting and watering equipment.

Shipping Costs

For returns due to our error (wrong item, faulty product, or breach of consumer guarantees), we will generally cover the cost of return shipping or arrange collection where appropriate. We may provide a prepaid return label or reimburse your reasonable return shipping costs upon receipt of the returned item and proof of postage. For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for the full cost of returning the goods to us. Original delivery charges paid at the time of purchase will not be refunded for change-of-mind returns unless we agree otherwise. We will confirm the applicable shipping arrangements when you contact us to request a return.

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange a product for a different size, model, or type, please contact us. We will treat the exchange as a return and a new purchase. Exchanges are subject to availability. We do not guarantee that the product you wish to exchange for will be in stock at the time of your request.

Damaged or Defective on Arrival

If your order arrives damaged or you discover that a product is defective upon delivery, please contact us immediately and, if possible, take photos of the damage or defect before opening or using the product. We will arrange a replacement or full refund, including delivery costs, as appropriate. You may be asked to return the damaged or defective item so we can assess the cause. In such cases, we will cover the cost of return shipping. Please report damage or defects within 7 days of delivery to facilitate a swift resolution.

Installation and Custom Orders

If you have purchased installation services or a custom-configured garden lighting or drip system from us, different terms may apply. Custom or made-to-order items, including cut-to-length drip line, bespoke irrigation layouts, or personalised configurations, may not be returnable unless they are faulty or do not match the agreed specification. We will advise you of any special terms before you commit to such orders. If you have agreed to installation services, the terms of the installation will be set out in a separate agreement or quote. Returns of products that have been installed by us may be subject to additional inspection or deduction for labour or materials used.

Warranty

In addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, some of our garden lighting and drip watering products may come with a manufacturer's warranty. The terms of any such warranty will be set out in the product documentation or on our website. Our Return Policy applies in addition to any manufacturer warranty. Where a product is covered by a manufacturer warranty, you may be able to claim under that warranty directly from the manufacturer. We can assist you with warranty claims where we are the authorised reseller.
